Junior SQL DBA (mySQL Linux)

COMSYS is seeking a Junior Database Administrator in San Antonio, TX. This is a full time contract to hire position with a large client. The description is as follows:Job DescriptionReviews, evaluates, designs, implements, integrates and maintains company database[s]. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. Writes codes for database access, modifications, constructions including stored procedures and reports. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with Junior and Senior Application team members, as well as business and product departments to develop and write application systems, programs and reports.Testing of each solution to ensure proper performance and efficiency guidelines are met.Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of operating systems and hardware used by the database and development groups, and systemic relationships with outside service providers and designers.Creates and maintains documentation in accordance with development standards and procedures.Participate in "on-call" support when specifically related to database issues.Participates in project management.
