We are looking for an individual with a broad technical background who is capable of performing hands-on as a Jr. Systems Administrator maintaining and growing one of the largest Exchange Server (2003 & 2007) infrastructures in the world. This person is responsible for answering escalated support tickets, uptime, maintenance, upgrades, data migrations, backups, and restores.

This position works in a team environment supporting servers running clustered Exchange Server 2007 & 2003, Windows Server 2003 (and 2008 soon), SharePoint, SQL Server 2000 & 2005, ISA Server 2004, Blackberry Enterprise Server, GoodLink Server, Active Directory, IIS, Veritas, NetApp SAN, MOM, System Center, Network Load Balancing, etc., for thousands of companies connecting from around the world.

The successful candidate must be a solution-oriented technical professional who has experience supporting mission-critical applications in a business environment. This is a hands on possision.  The candidate must be aggressive and have a great work ethic to succeed in this company.

Responsbilities include production server backups, restores, desktop support, and server builds. Technologies at the datacenter include Windows Server 2003, clustered Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Network Load Balancing, clustered ISA 2004, clustered Microsoft Virtual Servers, clustered SAN with iSCSI, SharePoint, SQL 2005, IIS, Blackberry Enterprise server, GoodLink Server, any and all email related protocols such as SMTP, IMAP, POP3, RPC/HTTPS, MAPI with supporting technologies such as relays, gateways, antivirus and spam prevention software. Additional responsibilities include the less critical office systems administration, advanced maintenance troubleshooting and set-up.

Absolute Requirements:

-Experience with Exchange Server 2003/2000

-Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2000 & 2003

-Hands-on experience managing Active Directory

-Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003/2007

-Available nights and weekends for maintenance windows and on-call emergencies

-Must be a US citizen or a Greencard holder

-Must be able to commute daily to Burlington, MA

 

Desired Experiences:

-Prefer candidates with MCP or MCSE

-Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server, ISA, SQL, SharePoint

-Experience with clustering & load balancing of Windows Servers

-Experience with SAN storage technologies

-Some scripting skills

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have the ability to learn on the fly, and hard working.
