Knowledge Database Design Technical Lead Job Code: GCSD03081117 Harris Corporation is serving as the systems integrator and provides overall program management for the U.S. Census Bureau's 5-year $600 million dollar Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) program. This critical program for the 2010 Census includes the design, development, testing and deployment of advanced, automated systems that will deliver near real-time data using an architecture with multiple and overlapping security features, including fingerprint authentication, password authentication, role-based access, automatic data encryption, firewalls, and virus protection. Job Description:  Work with Technical Support Services (TSS) team to design the FDCA Knowledge database. This will include defining the flow of information between the above and identifying the right input/output mechanisms to the database for the above. Candidate will also be responsible for designing reports out of the database for Harris and Census Bureau Management.   Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus 9 years experience. Masters preferred. 9 plus years experience in dealing with internal management team, external customers, customer management, etc. 9 plus years leading a small team of Database Analysts. Experience in database design for trouble ticket and reporting systems. Experience developing and presenting metrics.  Preferred Additional Skills:  Ability to work across a multi-discipline and contractor team to gather data. Verbal and written communications skills. Experience with Remedy, a plus.
