Lead Enterprise Application Systems Engineer (CRM, ERP, UNIX, Storage, Network)

Title: Lead Enterprise Application Systems EngineerLocation: Pasadena, CASkills: UNIX systems administration, shell programming, Wintel server knowledge and deployment of enterprise packaged application. Big plus if experience or knowledge of Epic, Mumps, Cache, high availability application support, development / support experience of (OS, storage or network layers) and application development or knowledge of CRM, ERP systems.The Application & Platform Integration (API) Enterprise Application Systems Engineer will be responsible for devising and deploying end-to-end technical solutions for a large information management system that automates the medical record. Responsibilities will include participation in 24x7 production support.The API Enterprise Application Systems Engineers primary job responsibilities will be as follows: - Receive business requirements from the designated API lead (typically, Regional Operations Manager or Technical PM), analyze them and develop technical specifications- Present technical specifications in a design review session, if appropriate, and obtain buy-in of peers and superiors for the implementation- Implement solutions in various regional environments across KP- Develop solutions to automate system and application monitoring - Lead projects for the above tasks and monitor and mentor assigned lower-level engineers- Provide architectural recommendations for specific components of major infrastructure initiatives- Develop end-to-end technical solutions to provide new features or resolve application or data-related issues - Investigate production and non-production errors reported by Application Coordinators, meeting agreed upon SLAs- Provide rotating shift coverage and be a part of 24x7 oncall support and production system monitoring schedule- Work on new application deployment and enhancement projects with KP Application co-ordinators and vendor resources- Provide guidance to lower level resources; lead information sharing sessions to enhance the technical skills of KP-IT staff- Ensure that KPHC environment provides needed functionality, appropriate access and restrictions as required- Create and maintain design, build, implementation and network management documentation- Participate in peer reviews for recommended break/fix solutions and/or new and enhanced technologies- Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution- Provides recommendation for storage and back-up strategies based on design requirementsThe individual will need to keep his or her knowledge current as vendors provide new product features and adopt new technologies. The individual will report to the NCAL Regional Technical Manager (RTM) who has overall responsibility for the deployment and production support of the software for NCAL region. Engineers responsibilities will not be limited to NCAL region; work assignments will span all KP regions.This is a fast-paced environment. The individual much be self-motivated and must enjoy challenges in the work environment. Strong problem solving and communication skills are a must. The individual must have extensive experience developing technical solutions in demanding production support situations in which mean time to restore (MTTR) service is small in the event of adverse impact to production.Minimum Qualifications:1.)
