Lead Network Support Engineer

We have an excellent Permanent Direct Hire position available with a direct client located in Kansas City. Our client would like to have a strong Lead Network Support Engineer join their team as soon as possible.


The Lead Network Support Engineer sets up, configures and supports internal and/or external networks onsite and remotely. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and recommends upgrades, patches, new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 or more years professional technical support experience, current MCP, MCSA or MCSE, ability to lead and manage projects.Windows Server Administration-NT/2000/2003. Microsoft Exchange Administration-5.5/2000/2003. Other Microsoft Administration-Active Directory, DNS, Small Business Server. Windows Desktop Administration-98/2000/XP/Vista. Network and Desktop Antivirus software Norton/Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee. Network Backup utilities-Symantec/Veritas BackUp Exec, Online Backup, NT Backup. Ethernet and Wireless LAN Design, Maintenance and Troubleshooting. Basic Network Security. Firewalls-Cisco ASA/PIX, others. Desktop, Server and Network Troubleshooting. Ability to be or experience having been the Primary/sole technical support for small business/small group-Desktops and Servers-50 or fewer users. Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or equivalent training and experience. Current MCP, MCSA or MCSE certification required.
