SUMMARY
The Lead Systems Operator must be familiar with a large variety of technology concepts, practices, and procedures. This position is responsible for managing, driving improvement, and performing a variety of complex tasks to monitor and maintain the production environment. The Lead Systems Operator also manages personnel schedules to meet the production schedule, coordinate communication between shifts, coordinate staff deliverables, and provides input into staff management activities including hiring, performance reviews, mentoring, and coaching.

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems/Computer Information Systems, or closely related field
• EXPERIENCE: 4+ years working in a production environment providing systems support or technical support
2+ years leadership in a technical environment
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of Oracle, Informix or similar large scale databases, UNIX and Microsoft Windows server operating systems, networking concepts, and multiprocessor based hardware
- Expert troubleshooting skills and technical support skills
- People and project management skills
- Ability to propose and write technical policies and procedures
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: N/A
• OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Expert knowledge of the OCI production environment. Expert knowledge of OCI production policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the Systems Operator position
2. Manages the entire daily production cycle and schedules staff to facilitate the production schedule and deployment schedule
3. Optimize production processes for efficiency gains
4. Troubleshooting of production processes
5. Design and implementation of production support policies and procedures
6. Work with contract service managers and developers to address service failure and production issues to help provide remedies
7. Work with contract service managers on transition and closure of implemented processes and contracts
8. Assist with service/server/contract setup activities
9. Provides base-level training to Systems Operators
10. Tracks, records, manages, and performs quality verifications on incoming data feeds
11. Resolves issues and/or manages the resolution of issues in system availability, performance, and data delivery
12. Maintains and makes available system monitoring data and reports
13. Responsible for the overall management and improvement of processes and ensures the production environment is current with the latest releases of data and software
14. Other duties assigned as needed
