Lead Technical Data Analyst

Location: Richardson, TXEducation Required: Not IndicatedExperience Required: Not IndicatedPosition Description:BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for assuming a technical leadership role in Enterprise Data Warehouse data mining, complex query development and generation, Ad Hoc report generation, and providing training, support and assistance to other technical staff; planning, development, analysis and implementation of reporting systems to meet customer requirements; and Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) internal programs to be supported that includes Performance Based Recognition reporting files, Radiology Quality Initiative, Non-Participating Providers, and other Network Management initiatives and programs as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1) Bachelor's Degree OR four years data analysis/report development and generation experience; 2) five years SQL experience against a large scale data base management system platform; 3) five years experience with mining complex data warehousing systems; 4) five years experience in a position with analytical and leadership abilities, and sound decision making skills; 5) four years experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation of suggested programming techniques and various reporting systems; 6) experience with SQL Server; 7) knowledge and understanding of data elements relating to data quality requirements and uniform definitions; 8) verbal and written communications skills; 9) ability to function in a dynamic work environment.PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1) Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Computer Science; 2) experience in use of membership data, premium data, and/or claims data; 3) knowledge of Healthcare benefits, terminology and concepts; 4) familiarity of relational and dimensional models..
