DescriptionHeadquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has an opening for a Legal Analyst in the Security and Privacy Compliance area of our Information Technology division. Enterprise is commited to an environment that focuses on growing the skills, building capability and providing opportunities for our employees.This Legal Analyst is responsible for ensuring all aspects of company information technology practices support and protect corporate intellectual property and assets by developing and enforcing internal best practices and patent portfolio development strategies.The position is responsible for serving as a first line contact for IT employees with questions about open source software usage, confidentiality, intellectual property ownership and licensing, patents and proactively working on development projects in a manner that protects company intellectual property rights. Develops, implements, and communicates patent opportunity identification process and trade secret protection process. Interfaces with all IT departments to develop action plans which develop, enhance, and maintain processes to support and ensure appropriate legal documents are indexed, archived and properly stored. Facilitates the analysis of open source license agreements and develops compliance policy memos. Coordinates and implements new management tools, software and other systems for open source software utilization, prior art identification and collection and preservation of legally significant documents. Facilitates patent search and review meetings, coordinates and implements new bidding process/procedures. Coordinates with Internal Audit Department on auditing policies and procedures; develops recommendations to reinforce adherence. Communicates with all departments within the company. Assists IT contracts department with contract review. Assists and supports the Governance team.
