We provide objective, focused, practical advice and solutions, based on an understanding of the law and Accenture's business. We work closely with each engagement team to find ways to maximize revenues and manage risk.  The Transactional Attorney will function in the following roles and perform the following primary tasks: Provide legal counsel and support to North America Public Service Operating Unit and specifically the US Federal Public Service (Government) Client Service Group in a high visibility position working closely with Accenture executives, clients and outside counsel.  Review, draft and negotiate a large number of medium to complex transactions with federal government agencies, IT services providers, and software providers. Advise company leadership on legal risks associated with transactions. Anticipate obstacles and develop innovative solutions in alignment with business strategy.  Counsel clients on interpretation and application of corporate policies and relevant laws & regulations.  Provide input and counsel for the development of the business case for various projects.  Facilitate knowledge transfer by participating in training sessions and presentations to the Legal group, other Accenture professionals and/or clients of Accenture.  Create reusable "packaged knowledge" (e.g., form contracts, best practices, risk assessment questions, etc.)  Develop strong working relationships with Legal group members in other disciplines and locations.  Some travel required. Key Responsibilities: Review, draft, and negotiate complex technology-based transactions with U.S. Federal government customers and other federal contractors Understand, interpret, communicate and have a working knowledge of public sector contracting issues (e.g. procurement integrity, Open Records laws, OCI) Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company’s transactional practices Counsel, advise, and consult company executives based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunityQualifications Basic Qualifications: JD Required 3 years of transactional experience within a large corporation, consulting firm, government agency or law firm in IT transactions, in roles with increasing responsibility; preference for public sector transactional experience.  Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions.  Experience negotiating Intellectual Property (IP) provisions.
