Linux Admin

Our Client is currently looking for a skilled individual to join our enterprise administrator support team within the Enterprise Management Center team supporting our client’s government customer. Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas: System configuration, server software configuration and troubleshooting, performing and determining root-cause analysis, document system build procedures and process workflow related to end user support and system administration. Will also support existing internal IT infrastructure and new hardware installations of UNIX workstations, servers, storage appliances, tape backup system and networking devices.

Additional Responsibilities will include:

RedHat Linux system administration experience. System backup and restore experience. Basic scripting knowledge a plus. Good understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure. Must be able to set up, assist and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux workstation problems. Create and maintain project plans and schedules and collaborate with technical teams and management. Must be able to work well with others and have excellent and proven intra-team and cross department skills working with and supporting end users with varying technical skill sets and authority. Intrusion detection and prevention, building and maintaining servers in protected subnets and demilitarized zones (DMZ), and web authentication using client-side certificates (smartcards).

EDUCATION: BS in a technical field or equivalent 5 years experience

BACKGROUND NEEDED/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

5 years of experience with intermediate level UNIX/Linux Server Administration.

RedHat Certification desired but not required

Windows Server administration experience desired

Security+ experience desired

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS PREFERRED:

RedHat Certification
