Location: Cambridge, MA 02139Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend A leading next-generation integrated Search & Business Intelligence company seeks a Senior Linux Administrator with 3-5 years experience in a 24/7 environment.It is expected also that this person will have worked with Windows 2000 or 2003 systems, and understand fully Active Directory Services. Any experience integrating OpenLDAP, Fedora LDAP, or Sun Directory Server with ADS would be viewed favorably.Experience with the following are also required: - Enterprise Backup Systems running on Linux, Solaris and Windows - SAN and NAS infrastructures - Server clustering using Veritas, Redhat/GFS, or similar. - Managing Java-based Web Applications running Resin, Tomcat, and/or JBoss. - Managing Web-servers with Apache and Apache plugins. - Shell Scripting, including BASH, KSH, and SH. Experience writing Perl (not simply editing others’ work) would be a strong plus. - Setup and configuration of Open-Source Network Management systems such as Cacti, Nagios, or MRTG. - Setup and management of the following: SSH, DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS+, LDAP, SNMP, Mail Services, Rsync, Samba, and Volume Management using SVM/DiskSuite (Sun), LVM, or MD. - A demonstrated ability to document his/her work for use by other members of a mission-critical operations group. - VMWare Virtual Infrastructure 3 and NetApp Filer experience preferred.
