Logistics IT Reporting Analyst  Position: Logistics IT Reporting Analyst  OVERALL SCOPE/PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT/POSITION: The resource in this role will be doing a lot of administrative tasks yet will have to be able to perform very technical and manual reporting skills. Their personality type and commitment level will be a success factor.  They key functions are: * Manage automated processes to gather data from multiple sources to feed the scorecard metrics calculations.* Work with planners to develop yearly budgets by gathering previous year’s costs and interpreting the actual costs.* Data collection, validation and adjusting for cost benchmarking.* Develop queries in SQL Navigator for monthly and ad hoc reporting.* Work with database administrators to direct routine and ad hoc data loads & extracts.* Troubleshoot data loading problems. JOB DESCRIPTION:Global Logistics operates terminals and trucking fleets to deliver fuels to customer sites. Logistics IT supports this operation through implementation and maintenance of software applications. The Reporting Business Analyst position works closely with the Logistics planning group to support reporting tools. Examples of reporting tools include terminal scorecards, Key Performance Indicator reports to ensure 3rd party carriers are meeting their contractual agreements and fleet cost reports to analyze performance of proprietary fleet. The reporting business analyst interprets customer needs for data analysis and builds or uses data extraction, transformation and load tools to put data into a format that can be used for a specific analysis need. The reporting analysis runs various reports on a monthly basis based on the business financial data monthly calendar. Data exists in databases such as Oracle, SAP-BW, Access, spreadsheets, 3rd party hosted applications. 50% of Tasks:Execute SAP/BW reports, MS Access queries, and Excel Macros in order to gather data, process data, and create Excel reports. This has a heavily manual process component with some steps requiring cutting and pasting between MS Access and Excel. Several steps involve starting automated processes and then following these to make sure data is transferred properly and troubleshooting any issues that arise. These processing must be executed on scheduled days throughout each month. 50% of Tasks:Modify and maintain existing MS Access/Excel reports to meet business user needs. Work with business analysts to develop new MS Access and Excel reports, and SQL reports to meet business needs. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:Ability to follow detailed written stepsCareful and MeticulousClear written and verbal communication skillsMust have great communication skills (Written/Verbal)Must be self motivated and self supportive and able to work independently; yet able to provide customer service as needed. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:In depth knowledge of Excel, including understanding file links, formulas, VB Code and macro concepts.Basic knowledge of MS AccessBasic knowledge of database structuresIntermediate SQL skills (Writing queries in SQL Navigator) NICE TO HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS:VBABasic knowledge of SAB/BI for data extraction   Business Attire Business Casual   To view additional job opportunities with TAC Worldwide Companies, please visit us at www.tacworldwide.com
