Job Category:Document Control Associate Professional Primary Location:USA-VA: VIRGINIA-CHANTILLYSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Regular Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 04/25/2008Description: Responsible for a wide variety of detailed file management activities in support of Government clients. Manage documentation for the client's programs/projects via database and hardcopy records/files. The documents shall be filed in accordance to the client's internal file structure. Files shall be administered so that the client can easily access needed data at all times. This includes tracking documentation for contracts, finance, and logistics information related to projects/programs. Must know where to access internal and external resources and use them effectively and efficiently. Leverages and reuses assets to generate new and unique ideas to solve documentation issues. Creates, contributes, and improves upon assets to enhance best practices. Review documentation and determine editing requirements. Responsible for technical writing, editing and graphics in preparation of major documentation tasks and contract deliverables. Established schedules for documentation production and conducted quality assurance/control inspections. Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal. Provide other related services as required/dictated from the clients. Essential Job Functions Retains records, microfilms, archives, provides official copies, and issues log books. Maintains a current internal documentation library to ensure that records are up to date and organized. Provides or coordinates special documentation services as required to ensure that non routine documentation service is provided. May functions as editor or as a writer in order to provide high quality documentation support. Works with management to create policies/procedures surrounding Records Management. Determines appropriate approaches for records retention. Works with subject matter experts to find best practices and streamline processes. Creates new procedures and workflow documents; updates documents as required, and follows up on outstanding tasks. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5 years work experience as a contracts support administrator in a Government (preferably a DoD or IC) environment. Working knowledge of administrative, contracts, and finance functions, processes, practices and procedures. FBI background knowledge in document control is a plus. At a minimum, must have a Top Secret clearance.Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Zero or more years of experience in record retention Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Other Qualifications Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work Good communication skills for providing documentation to support personnel, customers, and managers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Top Secret Create Success
