MANAGER, CUSTOMS PROCESS INTEGRATION

DESCRIPTION:

 



Define and implement common, integrated global customs declaration-related processes and adapt them to national legal requirements, enabling consistent and compliant reporting to all governments
Effectively link global customs declaration-related processes to core business processes, systems and electronic business transactions via ongoing evaluation, update and standard utilization of SAP
Develop and manage customs-related process improvement projects, applying innovation and continuous improvement methodologies to define efficient, compliant and cost-effective solutions
Define, develop and publish the lowest common global customs declaration-related information requirements in DBS (Delphi Business Systems) with RASICs (defining roles and responsibilities) to clearly communicate requirements to Divisional/PBU stakeholders
Ongoing identification, evaluation and implementation of customs declaration-related common technology solutions for global operational use, including responsibility for the global Customs Data Warehouse (CDW)
Represent DGCS as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for customs information needs on applicable corporate and/or cross-functional teams to communicate our data or interface requirements, mainly regarding SAP. e.g. Global Common Business Process Team (GCBPT)
Develop, mentor and manage direct reports in Troy and DGCS regional offices (Luxembourg, Shanghai), including supervisory responsibilities (i.e. PBP)
Must travel to AP and EMEA regions at a minimum twice per year to provide direction to regional staff, build global relationships and provide project-related support

REQUIRED:

Minimum 7 years international trade or customs-related experience
Minimum 5 years of information systems/IT experience with customs-related applications and oversight of third-party IT service providers
Minimum 3 years of managerial experience leading a team of individuals, including experience with managing work efforts of off-site, international employees
Self-starter with proven leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated continuous improvement project experience with training in LEAN methodologies
Demonstrated project management experience for a large multi-national company
High level understanding of international customs laws, regulations, and procedures of countries in which Delphi does business
Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience with systems connectivity and data management for a large customs-related application

Experience in the automotive industry: OEM or supplier (Preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with demonstrated large project expertise (Preferred)

EDUCATION:

Bachelors - Business Administration
Masters - Business/Information Systems (Preferred)
