MEDITECH - Application Analysts - Clinical Systems

CATHOLIC HEALTH EAST is a multi-institutional Catholic health system, which is co-sponsored by 12 religious congregations, and Hope Ministries, a Public Juridic Person within Catholic Health East. Based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the System provides the means to ensure the continuation of the Catholic identity and operational strength of the sponsors' health ministries, which are located within 11 eastern states from Maine to Florida.

 

The Meditech Application Analyst, Clinical Systems will work closely with RHC  departmental team leads to ensure that the Meditech application modules are configured to meet their operational needs and leverage Catholic Health East (CHE) best practice standards.

 

The Application Analyst participates in the support, enhancement and implementation of vendor supplied packaged software solutions to meet the needs of CHE and it’s Regional Health Corporations (RHCs). This position will participate in the evaluation, planning, design and implementation of application systems for CHE and its RHCs following the CHE project management methodology.

 

The Application Analyst will assist with the transition of new application systems to support ensuring that any unique requirements are incorporated into the IT Shared Services (ITSS) support model. The Application Analyst will provide on-going support for installed application systems as assigned by the Manager/Director Application Systems. This on-going support includes resolution of application system incidents, root cause analysis of problems, impact analysis and planning of proposed system upgrades and patches, analysis and development of enhancements to meet changing customer business requirements, and execution of ITSS change control procedures to ensure all enhancements, upgrades and patches are thoroughly tested and planned before implementation in the production environment.

 

Education, Certifications or Licenses:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology, information management or related field desired.

· Training in system analysis with special emphasis on system methodologies, project management, and business process reengineering related to information systems.

Experience

· Minimum 3 to 5 years experience supporting and/or implementing packaged software application systems in a health care setting.  Prior hands-on experience with defined standard systems or similar products from other vendors. Clinical background with Meditech superuser experience will be considered as well
