MFG/PRO Developer - PERM job!

Seeking 5 to 10 years experience in coding in Progress database, system design work and methods. Must have working knowledge of QAD MFG/PRO ERP Application (version eB and higher).EDUCATION:College degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Assist with implementation of business applications, standards and processes, under the direction of senior software Programmers and the business applications manager* Research, identify and document client's technical requirements* Determine and identify appropriate technologies to be used* Participate in the development and documentation the system architecture* Develop and document the high-level technical design for the assigned modules* Attend regular project technical team meetings* Provide senior project staff with full communication of project progress* Assist with development of project code* Take an active role in development of low-level design* Work with senior staff and Business Application manager to develop time estimates for project tasks* Develop code in keeping with established processes and standards* Debug and unit test modules before deployment to QA environment* Create and maintain project documentation, in accordance with established standards* Insures site and data availability on an on-call basis as neededApplication Maintenance and Support:* Take ownership of existing applications as assigned.* Maintain FAQs and other support material.* Ensure all application document are complete and current.* Maintain support and release schedules on the support site.
