Job Title: MQ Series Developer

 

Summary of Position:

 NetEffects is seeking a self motivated MQ Series Developer that requires little direction to achieve results skills for one of our highly regarded fortune 500 clients.

 

Required Skills:

· At least four (4) years MQ development experience.

· At least five (5) years experience in application development experience.

· Past experience with MQ Series administration.

· Proficient in C, C++, Java.

· Proficient in UNIX and Windows (including scripting, troubleshooting).

· Knowledge of SQL and both UNIX, Windows and mainframe.

· Basic college education with emphasis on information technology or related experience.

· Experience building channels, working with clusters, and creating monitoring.Be able to drive business and technical requirements into a design solution. Ability to quickly learn new applications/technology and architect solutions.Expertise with IBM AIX and Oracle SQL.

 

Preferred Skills:Experience with SyncSort.UNIX and Windows software installation.Experience with basic mainframe usage (ISPF, JCL).Experience with HP Non-Stop.

 

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the technical planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of Webshere MQ architecture software.

· Provide WebSphere MQ Admin support as needed for configurations, maintaining standards, monitoring MQ for implementations on multiple platforms across multiple environments.

· Accountable for software quality and service level agreements.

· Perform systems analysis and design of projects that meet the business needs.

· Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to staff.

· Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics.

· Participate in implementation, including maintenance, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run time documentation.

· Write, debug, diagram, code, and document programs.
