MS Exchange Architect Consultant

The Exchange Architect Consultant will be responsible for driving the architecture and technology choices for enterprise level clients.  The Exchange Architect will be responsible for directing architecture strategy, setting the strategic technical direction for the applications and will review, create, assess and plan for the architecture requirements and standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 Participate in planning and strategy engagements Participate in business requirements sessions internal business and technical resources Lead solution architecture and design efforts Perform development tasks and lead engineering efforts as requiredReview test plans and test cases Ensure quality with delivered technical solution and related documentation

 

Requirements: 

 Minimum 7 years designing and architecting Microsoft Exchange in an enterprise environment. Expert in Exchange 2000, 2003 & 2007 architecture, server roles, and clustering models for a high-availability environment. High-availability architecture design (clusters, SAN, failover systems) . Significant experience with development of deployment and test plans. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, MOM/SCOM, SQL Server Experience with Exchange end-user provisioning in a large environment. Strong DNS, IIS Server, SMTP and Mail Routing experience. Strong Anti-Spam/Antivirus working knowledge. Basic understanding of security and identity management technologies (Digital Certificates, LDAP, SSO, etc.). Basic application infrastructure/architecture knowledge (reverse proxy, fail-over, session state persistence, load-balancing, etc.) . Basic networking knowledge (topologies, routers, gateways, TCP/IP) . Excellent communication skills (effective oral and written skills). Experience with migration assessment, design & implementation to Exchange.Experience with Microsoft Hosted Messaging & Collaboration a plus. MCSE 2003 RequiredB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field or relative experience (reviewed on a case by case basis) required.
