Mainframe Computer Operator

Immediate opening for a  Mainframe Computer Operator in Sterling Forest, NY

This is a long-term (12 month+) contract position .

Compensation is hourly as a non-benefited w2 employee or independent 1099

Description:

First shift position - alternative work schedule which will include every other weekend (12 hour days - alternating 3 per week and 4 per week).
Responsibilities include:

Master Console -  monitoring and basic operator commands.

IPL, Time change, adjust system weights, etc.

JCL coding and debugging.

CA-7 scheduling and abend recovery.

RACF support.

Schedule and process AD-HOC requests.

Perform date & control card parameter changes.

Support ATABASE backup and recovery.

Support  automations.

Support FTP & NDM data transfers.

Support a web based, application callout process.

Review and monitor daily  batch status via SAS reports.

Please note that selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check prior to start.
