Currently seeking experienced Mainframe Programmer to design, code, test and debug programs of moderate complexity as well as work independently on complex subroutines.

Under the supervision of more senior programmers, you will assist in the development of major system modules and programs.

You should be fully qualified to perform most programming assignments without close supervision and fully knowledgeable of two programming languages.

Additional skill sets include: program design; specification development; program logic; flow-charting; testing; debugging; and documentation.

 

Requirements:

 Ability to maintain and code programs of moderate complexity, coding testing and maintenance of small to mid sized projects 3+ Years programming exp in large distributed environments3+ years COBOL MVS experience RDBMS proficiency with DB2Ability to build and understand program logic, working knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and DB2.Ability to analyze systems and build project plans to solve business problems. Ability to lead others to achieve project goals and resolve roadblocks using multiple resources and customer interaction. Desired skills: Team lead, Project management using PMP methodology, IMS database experience.Knowledge of relational databases/SQL, EZTRIEVE, Additional skills desired: Experience in reporting applications or tools, basic web development, mainframe SAS programming, Librarian, Platinum, FileAid, Xpeditor, ISPF, CA-7, QMF, SPUFI, VSAM.
