Expected Results: Lead team of 4 to 5 senior developers/DBAs in the areas of responsibility to include, but not limited to:
1. Company's website with on-line customer service section built on Java/JSP/Web Sphere technology
2. Company's intranet using SharePoint and DBA and BI/Data Warehouse team.
3. Technology stack - Oracle/SQL Server DB, MS Performance Point.
Work with IT business partner and functional managers to steer overall improvements in your area of responsibility.
Supporting Activities: Oversee development in your area and 50% hands on in development. Evaluate business requirements for technical feasibility and best practices Estimate, plan, track and provide status on technical projects and activities Identify and mitigate project risks Team development and building core skills Perform technical design and code reviews. Approve and commit code for integration Design and develop application features, e a primary problem solving resource Define and enforce company technical standards and best practices Develop, improve and enforce software development processes
Required Prior Accomplishments, Experience and Skills: The candidate will demonstrate senior-level knowledge of the following:
1. Experience in design of internet, intranet and BI platforms
2. Web application development (JDBC, JSP, Javascript, Beans, Web Sphere, MS SharePoint etc.). Online order process and customer service application.
3. Web application frameworks such as Struts
4. Object-relational mapping frameworks such as Hibernate or EJB3
5. Internet technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, XML, RSS, AJAX, etc.)
6. Software engineering methodologies
7. Content management systems for internet and intranet sites
8. Strong understanding and experience in BI Project Management and best practices.
9. Worked with multiple BI products, including ETL (e.g., Informatica), Reporting (e.g., MS Performance Point, Reporting Services), Dimensional and Relational Modeling, Relational Database (Oracle, MS/SQL).
Experience in manufacturing industry, knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and MS SharePoint, .Net skills desired. Travel and telecommuting is not applicable.
Education: The candidate must have a BA/BS degree and 5+ years professional experience including supervisory experience.
