Manager - Design (Sculpting)
Purpose of the Position
The incumbent will be responsible for high quality surface release.
Responsibility/ Activities
- Promote creative 3D sculpting proficiency, can effectively cope with change and manage a team in a fluid environment,
- Assume responsibility of program from start to finish,
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the customer,

Person Profile Required
Professional Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from IITs, IISc, NID or other reputed institutes
Professional Experience:
Candidates from OEMs with min 10 yrs experience and should have managed a team involved in sculpting. He /She should have the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment

This center at ITPL Bangalore houses the R&D, Design Studio, Engineering Center that focus on engineering and research and development work in support of GM's global portfolio. This new organization adds to GM's engineering capability in Asia Pacific, complementing similar technical centers in Australia and China.
The General Motors Design Studio at Bangalore is the ninth largest in the world, among the 11 design centres of GM. It currently has around 50 people and by year end should have around 70 people. Also, many of GM’s global designers will join them from across all the other 11 design centres.
The design studio in India contributes to the mid-cycle enhancement of existing models and the advanced design of future models. The new digital design studio employs technology tools such as clay milling and virtual reality to bring cars on-road faster. The centre is capable of supporting a global design strategy or GM’s technical centre, making it centre of expertise in interior and component designing. This centre will emerge as a full studio with complete product design capability, going forward. GM has planned an investment of around $60 million for its R&D and design centre in Bangalore
