Manager, Network and Systems Engineering
This is a full time permanent position with a Fortune 500 company based out of Wayne, PA.
Responsibilities:
· Manage a team of technical engineers supporting an international organization
· Hire, manage, motivate and develop staff to work in a team environment
· Manage and provide input regarding the engineering/designing of all LAN, WAN, Voice, Video, server, mail, directory, web and Security infrastructure
· Establish standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to: routing policies, change control, security polices, network standards, network policies, server build standards and related compliance standards
· Manage tier 3 support for LAN, WAN, Voice, Video, server, mail, directory, web and Security infrastructure, including third party vendors according to the standards, policies and procedures set forth by Corporate IT.
· Manage the trouble ticket process including any tickets required by third party vendors
· Manage and recommend engineering and management tools required to support the corporate organization including third party vendors but not limited to trouble ticketing, monitoring and customer portal
· Manage and provide technical support when needed within the department
· Ensure completion of all projects in a timely manner with supportive documentation
· Interface with equipment vendors and various telecommunication carriers as needed
· Promote teamwork, relationship building and cooperation within the corporate organization
· Provide leadership, assistance and direction for all corporate locations as needed or directed from ManagementAbility to travel a minimum of 25%
Skills:BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.Min. of 5 years within a supervisor or management role within a complex matrixed organization highly required.Min. of 5 years high level technical design and administration experience in an Internet Protocol network environment: including firewalls, routers, switches, IDS sensors and routing protocols, CISSP certification highly preferred. Voice engineering and converged technologies expertise a plus. Strong expertise in LAN/WAN network architectures, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, project implementation and advanced enterprise design required. Strong proven skills in complex analytical problem solving, project management, change management and group process. Knowledge with business continuity and disaster recovery plansHigh ability to influence across reporting and operational lines, carrying a vision of changeAbility to attract, retain and motivate high end technical talent. Must be able to deliver timely and comprehensive reviews. Consistent feedback and when necessary, constructive criticism as well as rewards and recognition.Must have strong team building, conflict resolution, and group interaction skillsExcellent PC Skills, including proficiency in Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, Visio and MS Project highly preferred.
