Manager, Software Quality Assurance Under the direction of the director of software development for Askesis Development Group, the manager of software quality assurance is responsible for and accountable to plan, lead, assign, supervise and control activities related to software quality assurance and testing of PsychConsult suite of products.  In addition, the manager of software quality assurance (SQA) will mentor SQA staff in testing processes, communicate with end-users, software development teams, and other departments interacting with the software quality assurance team, and report progress of all software testing activities to the director. The SQA manager will also be involved in the design and development of new software or modifications to existing software to meet our customers' needs.  The manager is to accomplish this via communication and cooperation with other project and development managers, software development team members, SQA teams, and end-users. The SQA manager is also responsible for establishing software testing plans, schedules and processes and then management of team members to verify the quality of software and adherence to business requirements within those plans and schedules.  At least two years experience managing SQA staff in the development Microsoft Windows applications using RDBMS is required, in addition to at least four years of software testing experience in custom developed software, with a good understanding of software programming and development, and a good understanding of relational databases.  Experience in verifying testing time-estimates and testing schedules is also required.  A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience is required.  A master's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.  Strong presentation and oral/written communication skills are required.   UPMC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package along with a strong growth-oriented working environment.
