Manager, Training and Development

Education & Certifications

Bachelors’ degree required.  Preference in Business Administration. 

Industry certifications a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in training development/delivery, and managing a training function.

Experience in the creation of various training modules. 

 

 

Job DescriptionDevelop, deliver and facilitate training programs corporate-wide.  Design, plan, organize and evaluate program effectiveness as well as conduct needs assessments.Manage Training and Development CoordinatorDetermine training program needs for various functions with the organization.Develop and facilitate leadership training programs for the executive level. Research and maintain familiarity with current leadership training practices and literature so training programs attain best of class statureProvide coaching and one-on-one performance improvement feedback as part of a training program or follow-up to a training program.Develop manager level training program specific to organization.Work closely with management to plan and implement workforce planning, leadership development and succession management goals.Liaison with vendors to deliver best training program to the organization.Maintain database and schedule of training dates and deliverables on the organization web portal.Work with the manager and individual to determine individual development plans and outline training plan.  Establish relationships with vendors to endure the corporation’s training courses are delivered in the most cost effective and efficient manner.Oversee the Coordinator’s administration of the AICPA InfoBytes on-line training resources and the BDO Seidman Alliance Website for corporation

 

Experience

 Demonstrated experience with 360 assessments and various coaching techniques. Well developed written and oral communication skills.Experience in delivery interactive leadership and supporting skills training.Prior experience developing effective leadership programsDemonstrated experience in managing vendors and multiple stakeholders. Experience using instructional technologies to increase training accessibility and reduce training expense.
