Manager of Design Verification Testing

DESCRIPTION:


The Hardware DVT (Design Verification Testing) Manager is leading a team of Hardware testers and responsible for testing, stressing and verifying the Hardware design of Networking systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of abilities and experience in all aspects of testing, stressing, configuring and qualification of Telecom Hardware (boards and systems) as well as experience leading a team of DVT engineers.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

·  BA/BS degree 7 + Years of related experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·  Hands-on leadership of a team of a few DVT engineers to perform tests and measurements on newly designed and existing systems and modules for verifying design margin and robustness. Tests include DVT (Design Verification Testing), Signal Integrity measurements, Thermal stress / Four-corner, HALT, qualification of optical transceivers and embedded power supplies.

·  Work closely with Hardware Design Engineers for writing and performing test plans for boards and systems, and for providing accurate and detailed feedback of test results. Ensure maximum coverage of test plan to test all functionality of the product and prioritize test activity.

·  Work with Software groups to obtain appropriate diagnostics code to perform the tests and to ensure the diagnostics code supports all necessary functionality to stress and test the Hardware boards/systems

·  Planning of schedules and resources for performing DVT tests on new products based on product release roadmap

·  Purchase and set up test equipment and lab equipment as needed to support testing of the Hardware

·  Perform First Article Inspection of mechanical assemblies and provide feedback to the design team.
