Manager of Information Services

 

Paulo, a leader in the heat treating and metal finishing industry, is seeking a Manager of Information Services in our St. Louis Corporate location.  We are seeking a self-motivated individual to manage our IT personnel, hardware and software technology department.  This candidate would report directly to the Director of Information Systems.

 

Functions and Responsibilities:

Supervise and develop department personnel and ensure requests for

support are met in a timely and efficient manner.

  Ensure that services provided meet company compliance.

  Ensure preventative and routine maintenance is performed on all systems.

  Manage support contracts and services.

  Ensure Paulo is in compliance with all licensing requirements and restrictions.

  Manage and maintain hardware/software for databases, networks,

telecommunication services, business applications, operating systems

and computer equipment.

  Plan, implement and maintain an effective and efficient plan for disaster

recovery.

Build and maintain vendor relationships.

Maintain and improve the Information Services quality system.

Ensure team performs above goal and monitor performance.

Evaluate security risks and establish and maintain a secure environment.

Manage and perform work on departmental projects.

Maintain documentation on hardware, software and projects.

Conduct research on and perform analysis of networks, systems, hardware,

software, applications and security requirements. 

Design, develop, plan and integrate new systems and processes with existing

systems and processes.

Travel will be required for projects, professional development and participation in

job-related meetings, conventions, training, etc.

 

 

Requirements:

  Ability to comprehend information systems and apply principles and procedures.

  Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and written) at all levels.

  Ability to supervise employees and to manage the various functions and activities

of the IS Department.

Ability to analyze information and systems to make recommendations for

improvement.

  Ability to read and comprehend technical publications and manuals.
