Manager of Web Development

A dynamic and growing membership-based organization in Northern, VA seeks a hands-on Web Development Manager who is skilled in ASP.NET and in leading web development teams.

 

Responsibilities:
•  Responsible for technical aspects of our external web site, including systems administration, database administration, e-commerce, creating and maintaining applications, and researching, evaluating, and recommending new web-related technology. 
•  Lead developer and technical specialist for the department, as well as the lead project manager for the department's web development activities. 
•  Oversees key aspects of E-Commerce initiatives. 
•  Works with various departments to define requirements for web-related applications, and develops solutions or oversees the outsourcing of solutions, as appropriate. 
• Maintains and enhances key web applications, including Google Search, HR Jobs, bulletin board, Ichat, member directory, and website login, and designs and codes new web applications. 
•  Project-manages all development-related tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.

 

Required Experience/Skills: 
•  5+ years of web development experience. 
•  3+ years of ASP experience.  3+ years of SQL experience. 
•  Must have SQL Server experience. 
•  3+ years full-life cycle experience (design, implementation, testing, release).
•  Some experience with web technologies such as Java, Cold Fusion, and PHP required.  Thorough understanding of IP protocols such as HTTP, FTP, DNS, and SMTP. 
•  Must be able to administer Windows NT and 2000 machines. 
•  Experience as a supervisor or team leader.
