The Intermediate Analyst will be part of the Market Analytics team. MarketAnalytics provides consulting resource services for senior management and otherinternal partners across the company to understand business issues, framebusiness questions and select the best research solution to drive businessstrategy. Market Analytics designs, analyzes and reports primary market research(interviews, focus groups, surveys, and associated analytics) supporting BlueShield's strategy development and operational plans.

The Intermediate Analyst-Market Analytics applies market research and analysisprinciples and company practices in executing assignments of moderate scope andcomplexity.

Job duties:

• Participates in developing primary market research objectives andmethodologies
• Provides Market Analytics team with support in management of day-to-dayactivities of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including vendorand sample management and analysis of data for primary research studies.
• Assist in the creation of reports and presentations of primary market research
• Some travel is required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social sciences with an emphasis onsurvey research, business, marketing, or other quantitative field) and two tofour years experience in market/survey research.
• Knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS or SAS is required (SPSSpreferred).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel,Powerpoint).
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team, ability to work in afast-paced environment and manage competing demands of multiple projects

Desired qualifications:

• At least one year in a health plan/insurance environment.
• Experience with qualitative market research techniques.
• Experience with relational databases is a plus.
• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
