Marketing Research - Intern

About FairbanksFairbanks Scales is seeking a full time entry level intern position for the 2008 summer.  Fairbanks Scales, a respected industry leader is a full-line weighing equipment manufacturer and service provider with over 178 years in the weighing industry.  Based in downtown Kansas City MO,  Fairbanks has manufacturing plants located in Vermont and Mississippi with service centers in 42 states, and distributors in 32 countries.



Marketing Research Intern

The intern position will be key in implementing a nationwide marketing study.  Primary responsibilities will be the cleansing of data and research to provide Fairbankssales managers with up-to-date prospect lists, and senior management with sound data to make strategic decisions upon.  Secondary responsibilities will be the regular maintenance of the Fairbanks intranet and public web site.

Attention to detail, computer literacy, Excel experience, and the ability to focus on the task at hand are a must.  Strong analytical thinking and ability, to develop and implement new solutions to data cleansing are a plus.

As part of the Fairbanks marketing team, the chosen intern will have the opportunity to experience the inner workings of a major industrial products manufacturer and service provider.

Requirements:

Ideally, must be an active student majoring in Marketing or other related discipline, at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate.

Previous office experience preferred.

Must be proficient in Excel.
