Job Description/Requirements:

 

Apex Systems is looking for a MicroStrategy Developer. This is for a 6 month contract to hire with a Fortune 500 Financial Institution. Qualified candidates will have 5-7 years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Administration & Development, including installation, configuration, project design & implementation, object creation (facts, attributes, hierarchies, metrics, filters, reports, documents, & Narrowcast services, schedules, subscription sets.)  You will need to have comprehensive knowledge in the MicroStrategy tool suite (iServer, Architect, Desktop, Web), Narrowcast, OLAP Services and Report Services.  Certification preferred.  You will also need to have knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, and familiarity with Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) concepts.  Advanced SQL skills are required, preferably with Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Job functions: Maintain ongoing functionality of production and test MicroStrategy software & hardware environment.  Participate in scheduled on-call support of production MicroStrategy environment.  Perform problem assessment, resolution & documentation.  Design, create & configure new & modified MicroStrategy project & report objects for multiple development efforts.  Coordinate & perform data quality validation on new & existing reports.  Perform MicroStrategy version upgrades, including installation, configuration & validation.  Participate in requirements gathering & design for ongoing development projects.  Provide technical leadership for MicroStrategy tool suite: iServer, Desktop, Web, Narrowcast, OLAP services, Report Services, Architect, & Administrator,
