MicroStrategy Developers

OmniSystems is seeking energetic, self-starting MicroStrategy Developers with 2 or more years of solid experience in MicroStrategy reporting, design and development, and at least 2 years of general development experience. Years experience can be the same years.

NOTE: These positions are open to US Citizens and Green Card holders. A low-level Government background check and clearance will be conducted and issued as part of this opportunity.

Responsibilities: Define reporting requirements to meet the client's business requirements. Prepare detailed report, data access and front-end specifications for proposed solutions. Define the dimensional models required to support business needs. Develop and maintain front-end repositories including metrics, filters, views and dimensions. Develop and implement reports and front-end data access solutions based on functional designs or equivalents using MicroStrategy's suite of tools including NarrowCast Server and Subscription Portal. Maintain and modify reports/queries as necessary. Coordinate schema changes within the data models and ETL processes.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent work experience 2 years of development experience with MicroStrategy 7i/8i and its customization Should have at least 2 years of technical experience working closely with business customers and successfully solving their information needs. These 2 years can be the same 2 years of development experience provided it was in a consultantive environment supporting clients/customers. Data Modeling experience - Skilled in both transactional and star-schema/ snowflake schema design and implementation Experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server as data warehouses Experience with these specific tools: Desktop, Web, Intelligence Server, NarrowCast Server Prior experience working with financial applications and data Candidate must have strong analytical skills as well as being detail oriented and be able to apply those skills in a variety of situations such as system design, trouble shooting, business process re-engineering, documentation and problem solving Must be a self-starter, highly customer focused, have a team attitude and excellent verbal and written communications skills Web development skills using HTML, XML, JSP as well as Oracle PLSQL
