Microsoft SharePoint - Sr. Business Solutions Architect

ACP, Inc, an aggressive, highly decorated Microsoft Gold Level Partner, is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft SharePoint - Sr. Business Solutions Architect, to provide technical business consultant level expertise.  The qualified person in this position must provide thought leadership on best practices for enterprise architecture, understand the Microsoft technology solution stack, and have a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration.

The Sr. Solutions Architect will play a central role in the complete solution lifecycle from pre-sales efforts and responding to RFP’s to designing the solution and envisioning follow up work, to implementation and deployment into production systems. The implementation role will include software architecture, development as well as technical project management for various teams and ultimate responsibility for the technical deliverables of a project. This role requires a proven technical skill set that has been demonstrated in the development of enterprise Line of Business applications and their integration into enterprise systems.

The Sr. Solutions Architect will architect and document the infrastructure topology and its relationship to the consuming software and services -- current state and desired state -- and define steps to move from current to desired state in conjunction with other architects and engineers on the team. Another role of the Sr. Solutions Architect is to facilitate the acceptance of new solutions and technologies within the technical infrastructure and business environments of Clients. This individual must provide support for complex projects or applications adhere to project timelines and technical deliverables within different client environments; and analyze and provide quality technical solutions that exceed client expectations.Engagements will vary and will involve providing expert consultancy, mentoring, formulating technical strategies and policies and acting as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams.

Ability to work with or in parallel with multiple development teams consisting of several technical consultants is also imperative. Strong interpersonal skills as well as solid strategic thinking are key traits. The ideal candidate will be capable of envisioning the solution based on the early client requirements, communicating the vision to both technical and business stakeholders, leading small to medium sized geographically dispersed teams through implementation, as well as mentoring and hands-on development. The ideal candidate would demonstrate successful use of agile software development methods and enterprise application patterns on prior projects in addition to effective leadership skills. You must possess analytical, problem solving, process design, and communication skills to aid in the development of engineering system concepts, needs and opportunities.

Technical Skills Required

·         Must possess 3+ years experience with current knowledge of SharePoint 2003/2007

·         Must possess 5 + years demonstrated expertise in various technologies, including a conceptual understanding of application development languages and packages and expertise around client/server and Web technologies, security (firewalls/encryption products), Web servers, various third-party utilities and legacy system integration tools

·         Must possess 5+ years consulting experience in Software Development/Architecture and Network Infrastructure

·         Expert knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint with SharePoint Products and Technologies, including architecture in an enterprise environment

·         Must possess extensive experience in system design and architecture, from a consulting perspective

·         Experience in analyzing remote access needs, recommending a variety of remote access solutions, implementing and managing those solutions

·         Working knowledge of all application development and technical areas across an enterprise

·         Ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies and apply them as part of integrated solutions to business requirements with a focus on Microsoft Office System Technologies

·         In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL server

·         Familiarity with iterative and rapid development techniques and tools

·         Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, servers, workstations, operating systems, and applications

·         Expert knowledge of best practices for email, Internet access, hardware, backup, security

·         Extensive experience documenting thoroughly and appropriately the entire Solution framework

·         Knowledge in Virtualization/VMware technologies is a Plus

·         Knowledge of data warehouse and data mining is a Plus

Relevant Required Experience

·         Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist – MCTS; (MOSS or WSS)

·         Windows 2000 and 2003 server

·         Active Directory management

·         Installation, configuration, and issue resolution knowledge of firewalls, security, and VPN’s

·         Internet, intranet, LAN services (AD, DNS, WINS, DHCP, RRAS, RPC, etc)

·         Web servers – IIS & Portal Server technology including Microsoft SharePoint

·         Backup solutions for SharePoint Server

·         Experience with SMTP, IMAP, and POP3

·         Strong knowledge of SQL Server (v2000 and v2005)

·         Strong knowledge of SharePoint Search

·         Functional knowledge of Windows Workflow

·         Functional knowledge of Forms Server and InfoPath

·         Strong knowledge of (C#) ASP.NET Development within the SharePoint framework

·         Consulting experience with business owners regarding the interrelation of the information systems’ costs with the business value proposition
