Mid Level - ColdFusion Developer

 

The US Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) located in Lakewood, CO is looking for a full-time Mid Level,  ColdFusion consultant to assist with Web-enabled database design.   

Statement of Work:Programming services for FWS internet sites or applications—may include web-enabled database design and repair, programming, scripting and/or ensuring compliance with current security standards.  Employee will be working closely with the web development and IT specialist in the LEMIS Division. 

 The following skills are needed for this position

Application ProgrammerDevelop, build, and maintain online applications See projects through to completion Improve upon current skills; develop new technical skills Solid understanding of relational databases Cold Fusion MX7 or 8 Java Script Windows Server 2003 experience is beneficial Plus all below itemsDesign, develop and maintain web pages for Fish and Wildlife Service, using Adobe (Macromedia) Dreamweaver Ad hoc report generation using SQL statements against SQL Server 2000/2005 databases.  End results are typically transferred to Microsoft Excel. Monitor SQL Server jobs and performance on all servers Create new databases, tables and stored procedures within SQL as needed. Analyze request for information from the database to insure the proper fields and data is provided. Create SQL queries to provide requested FOIA information. Responsible for answering support calls from USF&W employees as well as Import/Export brokers.  Creating accurate database queries for various types of media requests and Freedom of Information Act reports. Troubleshooting end user problems with incorrect data within the database. Knowledge of basic AD account tools

 All of the skills are necessary in order to redesign, debug, develop and maintain the FWS websites.  Work is mostly sedentary; computer, software and workspace are provided by the FWS.
