Multimedia Technician IV

Summary

 

The Events Production Tech will be a member of an organization providing around the clock support for your clients. They will receive notification of planned or unplanned events, determine requirements, and install and operate high-quality audio distribution, sound reinforcement, and lighting systems in support of the event. They will also be supporting events, where fixed or permanently installed audio and lightning systems exit. Some maintenance of audio visual equipment required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates various fixed systems within the clients facilities. Support may include, but is not limited to : classified and unclassified video-teleconferencing, multimedia presentations and multiple microphone discussions and seminars.

Installs and operates podiums, audio mixing consoles, audio distribution systems, sound reinforcements systems, digital and analog audio recorders, teleprompter systems and broadcast-lighting systems.

Maintains positive working relationships and good will towards client's staff representatives. Receives and evaluates event requirements and "vision" from representatives and offers insight and recommendations to achieve superior results.

Coordinates daily with civilian-government and military organizations to ensure mission success.

Serves as the Audiovisual Technical Director and Teleprompter Operator for the client supporting both live and videotaped events.

Responsible for all technical aspects of production, ensuring picture, sound and lighting qualities meet or exceed applicable commercial standards in the broadcast and recording industries.

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree(or experience equivalent) in related field. 2-5 years of direct experience with various fixed and portable audiovisual systems and equipment. Detail knowledge of audio mixing consoles and distribution equipment, audio recorders, amplifiers, microphone theory, power amplifiers, loud speaker systems and configurations and indoor and outdoor lighting systems. Detail oriented and results driven a must

Profiency with computer based programs such as Microsoft office suite, Internet, Outlook and or Lotus Notes.
