.NET Developer

 

I have a university client that is looking to bring on a full time,
direct hire .NET Developer, as they are ramping up the development of
an online student portal. In addition to the online learning portal,
they will be creating a virtual registrar's office for students. I
will warn you - although the base salary is competitive, it's a touch
below market. In an effort to attract a solid candidate we have
pulled out all the stops in terms of a great working environment as
well as benefits package. It would be a great opportunity for someone
to ramp up on the latest technologies, take full advantage of getting

ownership of a web application project. Here is the description for
the position:
 

This .NET Developer will be responsible for the structured development, sound design implementation, & documented maintenance of application code for programming projects, which include internal & external web sites, departmental applications, online campaigns, & online learning. Some of the duties involve integrating user interface & other design elements; implementing changes & enhancements to Microsoft SQL 2003 & 2005, ASP.NET, C# & any other related programs & databases needed for an application; and configuring & maintaining applications developed on IIS.

 

Required:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent database experience. 2-4 years in the following technologies: C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, ADO, JavaScript. 1-3 years with the following: Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, & Programming (OOA, OOD and OOP); UML (Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram); Visual Studio 2003/2005; RDBMS relational database management system (SQL Server); & XML/XSLT.

Creativity, enthusiasm, & strong interpersonal skill. Excellent project & time management skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, listen carefully, interpret accurately & respond to a high volume of requests. High degree of professionalism & confidentiality.

 

Status:

Regular Full-Time/Exempt

 

Hours:

Daytime hours.

Manager, Application Support
