Responsible for configuration and installation of equipment (Servers, PCs, HUBs, Switches on the Network), customer service/relations with serviced companies and quality control of daily network operability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned).
1. Installation and configuration of network servers for local and remote access.
2. Installation of network hardware and topology.
3. Support TCP/IP subnets.
4. Monitor, maintain and control network efficiency using appropriate tools.
5. Maintain, monitor and controlling security standards for the local and wide area networks.
6. Monitor, maintain and controlling network resource accesses by only authorized personnel.
7. Maintain network server applications specific to the Internet, E-Mail and remote controlling (I.E. SMS).
8. Maintain network server data backup and data restores.
9. Install, configure and support of communications devices, such as Routers, CSU/DSU’s, hubs, switches, etc.
10. Recommend ways to improve operations of company.
11. Any other duties that may be assigned by senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. 0-2 years experience in networking in the LAN/WAN environment, preferably with Microsoft products.
2. 2 years experience with Microsoft NT NOS and knowledge of TCP/IP
3. Microsoft certifications preferred or appropriate training classes and experience
4. Must be a self-starter and proven ability to learn with the desire to learn and expand knowledge in Information Technology and about the company.
5. Ability to solve problems in a logical manner.
6. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
7. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
