Hiring for this position is contingent upon contract award anticipated in the July/August 2008 timeframe. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experiencing supporting U.S. Department of Homeland Security/TSA. Base of operations will be in Arlington, VA but opportunities will be available for work locations throughout the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.Network Operations and Security Center Manager This position requires strong leadership, analytical, organizational and management skills, as well as an ability to communicate complex technical concepts and information in straightforward terms. * Supervise and direct NOC staff in daily operational functions including monitoring, troubleshooting and production of Windows and UNIX server platforms; including web, database, email, and media management servers; * Ensure all DoD/TSA security protocols are followed; * Manage product provisioning workload to meet scheduling and production deadlines; * Provide Tier 2/3 support, interacting directly with client base to insure complex issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner; * Supervise and perform the implementation of complex hardware and software solutions; * Oversee local trouble ticketing workload and advanced customer support functions; * Respond to issue escalations in an on call capacity after hours and on weekends; * Develop, train, and coach NOC staff in both the technical and professional aspects of their performance; * Work with Program Manager in developing processes, protocols and distributed workflow; as well as performing day to day documentation functionBasic Qualifications Candidates must be U.S. Citizens as candidates will undergo a Federal Government background investigation.
