NOC Supervisor -- Sony Online Entertainment

We are headquartered in San Diego, CA.Primary Responsibilities: Sony Online Entertainment LLC is looking for an experienced Systems Operations Supervisor with combined Windows and Linux experience, who will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of systems worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Windows, Linux, and related technologies. Additionally, this person must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, and potentially unpredictable, environment.Desired skills and knowledge:• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading and managing a small IT team• Minimum of 2-3 years of combined Windows/Linux systems administration experience in a highly-available production environment.• Proven ability to quickly isolate and troubleshoot issues under pressure in a production environment.• Experience with configuration and maintenance of common Windows and Linux server applications—such as Exchange, Sendmail, IIS, Apache, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.• Experience with backup/DR strategies and tools—including NetBackup and/or ARCserve.• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux authentication mechanisms and directory services• Solid understanding of basic network technologies—including Ethernet, routing, and switching• Experience with performance monitoring tools and technologies.• Experience with automation of system deployments, maintenance, patching, and upgrades.• Previous experience as a member of an IT operations team in a regulated (SOX, NERC/FERC, GLBA, or similar) environment.• Solid knowledge of established systems security best practices.• Proven ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies.• Previous NOC experience a plusOther Requirements:• Be part of a 24/7/365 rotating schedule• Must be willing to occasionally travel to domestic and international datacenter locations.Compensation/Benefits: SOE offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, 401K, Vision and additional perks.
