Description:The candidate will report to the Hospital Information Systems (HIS) Operations Team Leader at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He/she will provide end-users with technical support of networked devices, printers, and desktops, fax machines and peripheral device. Individual will provide deployment, software installation, testing of network connections and troubleshooting services.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide break/fix support for networked and stand alone devices Assist other groups in triaging network/desktop issues Provide setup and installation services for networked devices using standard NT NOS/Win2K tools and NWH/Partners developed tools. Add/modify devices to the network in compliance with the set NWH/Partners standards Participate in the execution of large deployment projects and/or departmental moves Utilize stored information and documentation to help resolve issues Prioritize and escalate problems within given guidelines Triage calls to appropriate groups if call cannot be resolved Provide Shift turnover reports for next shift while assigned to Computer Operations duties Provide second level technical support for Support Desk Occasionally assist Support Desk to triage end user calls Assume on-call responsibilities Occasional after hours and weekend work to cover shifts. Responsible for covering some shifts alone Occasionally lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds Able to travel to Offsite locations on an as needed basis Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Please note: This will be a second shift/evening hour position, Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm-11:30pm. One year hands-on technical experience in Customer Service focused environment Hands on PC experience in installation, repair and troubleshooting Must possess a Valid Massachusetts Drivers License and reliable vehicle A Certification required Meditech/Magic OS experience a plusSkills, Abilities, Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
