NY Project/Service Manager
Position: Project / Services Manager

Professional, timely service and excellence in design and delivery of highly reliable networking solutions have distinguished LAN Associates as a leader in our craft.
Position Summary:
Ensure the engineering staff provides the highest quality and technical support to all clients of LAN Associates, employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise and timeliness. Overseeing that the engineering team has the tools, training and certifications required to perform their job to the high levels required.
Supervise the activities of the engineering team following-up on engineer issues as well as the paperwork and documentation needed for submission for billing purposes.
Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment on various job related problems and issues as they arise. Has key responsibility for the identification and resolution of scheduling and personnel issues.
Responsibilities:
Manage engineering staff including but not limited to hiring, performance reviews, expense report processing, equipment management, scheduling and termination of employees.Monitor, review and report on staff productivity.Monitor, manage and maintain the quality of project and service levels.Communicate with clients as required to discuss issue(s) and possible resolution as well as follow-up calls to client on same.Communicate frequently with engineers to exchange knowledge and assist engineering staff with issues they are currently working on.Maintain staff training and certifications as required in order to keep the company up to date on industry products and to meet vendor requirements.Contact with outside vendors to: troubleshoot an issue or product; retrieve return/RMA information on client or LAN equipment and to obtain information on new and upcoming products or software.
· Oversee times of peak service demands or as needed to solve complex problems aimed at delivering consistent quality service to clients within predefined service levels; review service requests daily, following up and providing status updates to clients as required; ensure data pertaining to the status of projects and service requests is entered into the database accurately and promptly on a daily basis to provide an up-to-date picture of service delivery status and backlog.
· Continuously strive to improve client support.Emergency response to issues as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business management, computer science, information technology or a minimum of four years IT experience in relevant position.Works well in a team environment.Good verbal and written communication skills with clients as well as co-workers.Ability to follow-up in a timely fashion.Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.Strong Organization and Communication skills.
· Demonstrate participation in small to large group in a leadership role.
· Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, clients and management in person, e-mail and via telephone.
· Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.
· Good judgment and analytical skills, follow-up and organizational skills.Travel to LAN Associates sites in New York City, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida required.
