HITCCF61910 Network Administrator Job Description: The Network Administrator is responsible for completing assigned tasks in the support of an enterprise environment of Windows, UNIX, LINUX servers. Tasks are assigned and performed under the general supervision of the Manager, IT. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, NT,UNIX/LINUX Administration, Open Source software support, applications server support, web server support, system event and performance monitoring, hardware support, implementation of new server equipment and applications; First and Second Tier support for a large global user community. Responsibilities: Assist with operational support for all NT/UNIX/LINUX servers. This function includes, but is not limited to, system monitoring and reporting, application installation and support, monitoring back-ups on various systems, work on after-hour’s maintenance issues, and assist with daily operational support. Work with direction from IT Manager Maintain documentation for business continuity Troubleshoot complex network and application issues Configure and administer Windows and Linux operating systems Monitor server equipment, applications, and environmental conditions for malfunctions; initiate and manage corrective action on problems to resolution Responsible for overall maintenance, and documentation of systems tasked to individual Review assigned service requests daily, provide status updates to management, ensure problem ticket information is updated accurately and promptly Perform operational support tasks, assist with server installs, builds, configuring Intel-based system hardware; trouble-shooting, maintaining, upgrades Person will be required to carry a mobile phone, be available after hours, and share monthly maintenance responsibilities Requirements:Five years of related technical and systems administration experience in an enterprise NT, UNIX, LINUX server environment required including administration of web related technologies. A track record of providing exceptional customer service to users. An understanding of Windows Systems administration and Active Directory is essential A four-year degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Qualifications: Experience with relevant technologies (Cisco, VMware, storage) Exchange Administration, SharePoint Administrator is not essential. Minimum six (6) years of computer systems and networking experience Hands-on administration experience with Windows and Linux server environments, LDAP, network switches, firewalls, and routers Past experience with database administration (Oracle, SQL Server) Must have a strong Interest and ability to learn and deploy new applications and technologies. Strong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of writing server and procedural documentations Resolve technical problems quickly and completely. Must employ good troubleshooting, structured thinking, and organizational / time management skills.
