DescriptionCandidate will be required to support a 24x7 LAN and associated applications. Candidate will troubleshoot, upgrade, existing operational environment consisting of workstations running Windows NT 4.0, XP, associated file and print servers running Windows 2000, Novell 4.x, 5.x, 6.x and Enterprise Messaging software consisting of ccMail and Lotus Notes mailhubs and gateways. Current networking infrastructure consists of Cisco routers, DSU/CSU’s, bridges, switches, gateways and protocol converters. Peripheral devices consist of PDA’s, Blackberry hand held devices and printers. Disaster Recovery software utilized is Veritas Backup Exec. Travel may be required.Visit our website to view similar positions in other locations throughout the US.Required SkillsThis position requires a Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator. Must be experienced in Enterprise Messaging software and Operating Systems listed above in a networked environment. Able to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to completion. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain, identify and troubleshoot networking devices and infrastructure listed above. Experience with Tivoli and Peregrine Service Center preferred. Must perform Disaster Recovery Operations on related systems to include documentation. Must be able to communicate well both written and orally. Ability to work independently is a must. Needs to be able to work as a team, as well. Must be detail oriented and possess strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to maintain inventory control and reporting required. Experience with System Development Life Cycles (SDLC), Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS) and related documentation processes preferred. Travel will be minimal. Special Requirements: Must have strong experience with Novell 4x,5x,6.x Must be a USA Citizen Successful candidates will be subject to a background investigation Conducted by the customer. Employment is contingent on successfully completing and maintaining a security clearance. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be able to bend and crawl within tight areas.
