Network Administrator II

Full time position available in the Department of Internal Medicine at EVMS in downtown Norfolk. Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience and 3 years in network administration and desktop support req'd. Certifications preferred but not required. Must be able to work effectively with Novell, Microsoft, Linux, and Unix systems. The successful candidate should possess experience supporting PCs, peripherals, MS Office, Windows NT, and excellent customer service skills. Job duties and responsibilities include: providing first and second level support to internal and external users; provide services for hardware/software installation, troubleshooting and configuration, and technical support for mainframe, telecommunications, LAN/WAN, and standalone hardware and software systems; installing new PC's and related client applications with full network capabilities; Email account creation, disabling, and deletion; provide assistance with basic operations of office applications; and troubleshoot network connectivity issues and other duties as assigned.
