Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Primary Function: - Implement and support CISCO routing and switching solutions for MasterLink clients.  This includes, discovery of the customer needs, designing and implementing the solutions based on the customers present infrastructure or a completely new solution, dependent on customer needs.  Individual is responsible for designing, implementing and support of CISCO routing and networking solutions for successful project completion within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer. 

 

Specific Duties: Lead the discovery phase to define what the customer needs for assigned projects Provide pre-sales assistance to the sales organization for routing and switching designs Configuration and implementation of routing and switching solutions, including Cisco multi-service routers and Cisco 4500, 6500 3750 switches Prepare and conduct custom administration training classes Service and maintain as required, client solutions for routing and switching infrastructure Develop, build and maintain demo equipment for customer solutions On-call support for all MasterLink clients when assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:  2 years experience with routing and switching networks Strong technical background and working knowledge of routing/switching/networking options, including various hardware and software configurations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer presentation skills Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives Ability to remotely troubleshoot network issues via telephone

 

Desired Qualifications: BS degree CCNA or CCNP certification Direct customer relationship experience
