Network Security Consultant

Please note the compensation...this position is considered an entry level Network Security Consultant.

Responsibilities:

The Network Security Consultant will be responsible for performing a variety of security consulting services, including network security assessments, information risk assessments, business continuity plans, and security penetration tests.  This individual will:

 Identify network vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniquesAnalyze and rank potential risks and threats from vulnerabilitiesReview network design and architectureReview information security policies and proceduresDevelop and present formal, executive reports and deliverablesWork directly with client’s executive and network management teamConfigure and implement security solutions including firewalls and IDSAssist the remote assessment service with conducting quarterly reviews

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2+ year degree, international equivalent, or equivalent work experience

 

Desired:

· 4 year degree or international equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

· Minimum 2+ years consulting experience – interfacing and servicing clients, managing and budgeting and expenses, working in project-oriented environments with deadlines and milestones, making presentations to executive management

· Minimum 2+ years IT security and/or IT audit experience administration or analysis of network and system security-related technologies, performing periodic network security reviews and assessments, reviewing information security policies and procedures

· CISSP, GIAC, CCSP, MSCE: Security, Security+, and other related certification

· Knowledge of information privacy and security requirements regulating the financial (GLBA) and/or healthcare (HIPAA) industries

· Knowledge of current IDS technologies such as Cisco IDS and similar systems
