Network Service Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent will support ITG's customers to resolve technical production issues, installations/upgrades and quality assurance testing.  The individual will be responsible for establishing lines of communication with telecom and networking vendors on design, reliability and maintenance issues for the electronic trading functionality of the various ITG software products and routing capabilities as well as managing client requests for electronic trading connectivity between customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Interpret customer requests and takes appropriate action to produce high levels of customer satisfaction that are balanced with business needs. Coordinate with other team members to categorize, prioritize and resolve software application issues dealing with all levels of the electronic trading technology systems. Interact regularly with members of the development team to produce software solutions that address operational needs and requirements. Coordinate and implement updates and modifications to software.

Services Specialist - duties and responsibilites:
Provide phone support to external (brokers, institutional buy side and hedge fund clients) and internal (accounts executives, implementation consultants) customers by answering complex questions on function and usage of electronic trading. Resolve technical support issues and problems in the areas of system configurations, functionally and enhancements. Serve as primary liaison between customer and the firm. Provide dedicated hotline and face to face support to internal and external clients. Implement software and network installations at institutional client sites. Coordinate new connections and test new production LVCs prior to client usage.

Skills and Experience:Proven knowledge of financial, trading or asset management industry. Proven knowledge of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol and relational database servers and software. Possess thorough knowledge of electronic trading. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in client support for external products and TCP/IP troubleshooting

FIX Certification - Duties and reponsibilties:Validate FIX software to certify adherence to the FIX specification and prevent the potential for application errors. Interpret and reproduce client problems to report to development team. Conduct quality assurance testing of Trade Order Management software. Conduct testing of FIX engine software with Global MFN community sell side counterparties.

Skills and experinece:Ability to quickly learn and use complex software applications. Previous experience in application testing or certification experience. Proven knowledge of financial, trading or asset management industry. Proven knowledge of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol and relational database servers and software. Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills:
FIX Protocol, FIX Messaging, TCP/IP.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Computer Science or equivalent discipline

Note: Candidate will be working in second shift (afternoon).
