10438585Network Services Consultant/Dealer SystemsLocated: Portland, OR Start Date: 4/28/08Contract duration: 9 months (w/possible extension)Requirements:The Dealer Systems Consultant is responsible for third level support for network infrastructure applications for the dealer network. This roles responsibility is to resolve issues for network connectivity of critical software applications as well as supporting, troubleshooting, resolving and documenting conflicts. Excellent troubleshooting, systems network knowledge and people skills are critical for this position. Requires in-depth knowledge of internet based applications to provide resolution of escalations of customer-reported application incidents. Candidates should be adept at troubleshooting and resolving network LAN and WAN related outages and issues. Candidate must demonstrate a systematic approach to troubleshooting, with an understanding of root cause analysis and a proven track record of excellent ability to problem solve using logical and deductive reasoning. Candidate must be able to convey technical requirements and company policy in a diplomatic friendly business way. Candidate must have track record of attention to detail and a proven ability to manage priorities and triage incoming requests. Strong understanding of dealer business and systems is preferred. Tools/Applications:Remedy, Microsoft Office, Lotus, WebExBasic Qualifications: Provide technical and systems dealer network infrastructure communications support as a primary technical consultant for complex network issues for critical software applications to enable communication with primary internet based application website. Provide software application implementation, troubleshooting and solving network connectivity problems including configuration of Cisco routers, Cisco Pix firewalls, proprietary software and hardware firewalls, switches, desktop TCP/IP configuration and network access issues regarding security or performance configuration. Support and troubleshoot complex network Cisco infrastructure configuration by solving domain configurations problems in Microsoft Server 2000 and 2003 domain environments. Consult with dealers to identify their existing network infrastructure and analyze network routing local and wide infrastructure Cisco Routers, Pix firewalls and provide technical recommendations to resolve the Client's application software network connectivity issue or software conflict. Effectively resolve Dealer Network Infrastructure network connectivity problems to enable communication with primary internet based application website. Interface with various departments regarding dealer organization and procedures. Write and review complex technical specifications. Provide systems administration for production migrations, version upgrades and server settings.Special Notes: (On-Call Required or not?
