Primary Objective of Position:
The Network Services Manager will be responsible for the management of Network Services Admins supporting Enterprise Data Centers. Provide leadership to the Network Services team that provides Microsoft Windows, Exchange Messaging, HP Proliant Hardware, Enterprise Backup Technologies, Enterprise Storage, Telecommunications, Support of all Windows based Application Systems and Core Infrastructure Services. Collaborate with other IT Managers to provide best in class IT services and customer support. Ensure systems are maintained in adherence to internal Quality Management Systems and Computer System Validation standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the Windows Administration TeamManagement duties include setting objectives/priorities for 3-5 direct reports, provide training, mentorship, and conduct performance reviews.Management for all Windows platforms and associated layered products Manage, design and implement system infrastructure to include, Server, SAN, Enterprise Backup, Windows & AD environments, Exchange and Anti-Virus products. Manage, develop and execute all Windows Infrastructure initiatives including, security management, remediation, implementation, documentation, policy definition and business analysis. Manage, develop and implement corporate IT disaster recovery infrastructure processes in conjunction with company wide business continuity plan and aligned to under ISO 9000 standards. Manage and implement processes and controls for corporate data centers Manage all system security, performance and stability optimization in a 24x7 environment.Implement and manage Citrix server farm for domestic and international connectivity to IT resources.Implement and manage network and system monitoring tools, using RDP, SIM, MOM, WSUS and SMS.Manage, develop, implement, and maintain all policies and procedures related to ISO, SOX, (GMP) FDA compliance regulations and change management control. Comply with provisions identified in the IT Quality Manual and Work Instructions that support your area of influence and Elan’s IT Department. Establish control measures and KPI’s to ensure effectiveness of Infrastructure and Data Center environment. Provide means for measuring performance against SLA’s.Develop and/or oversee the creation of IT Quality Processes (WI) as required to ensure compliance, accountability and control of functions within Network Services. Implement control measures to ensure compliance of WI that define critical functions.Project Management - Provide resources to support defined projects in the IT Application space & Infrastructure.
Requirements:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, business Administration or 10 years IT experienceMust have current MCSE with ability to provide technical power of influence over teamMust have managed a server infrastructure of 500 servers with associated storageMust have a minimum of 3 years managing a team.Must have managed multiple projectsMust have managed data center and data center vendorsMust have managed integrated systems implementation and maintenanceMust have knowledge of network architecture, design and implementationMust have experience in network implementation, administration of Windows NT & Ad Exchange and Microsoft Management product suiteEnterprise Backup and Storage, TCP/IP, DNS and WINSS
Special Training:
· Techncial training/understanding of LAN/WAN Networks· Management training associated with personnel management.Experience/Certification in Computer System ValidationExperience/Certification in ISO 9001:2000; BS7799:2002-2; TickIT standards
Skills/Abilities:
