Network Services Support

A Network Services Support consultant is needed in Poughkeepsie, NY to provide support of network and customers.

 

Responsibilities:

-Network troubleshooting and traffic analysis knowledge and experience with a  

 packet level analyzer (Sniffer, Ethereal, Network General, etc.)

-Review and analyze firewall logs and system logs

-Ability and willingness to mentor and work with other engineers as a Subject Matter

 Expert is extremely helpful

 

Requirements:

-Cisco routers, including 60xx and 45xx series, as well as Catalyst MSFCs.

-Cisco CSS (Content Service Switch), including 115xx series

-Cisco Switches, including 29xx series, as well as RPS

-Cisco Pix and IOS Firewall configuration and troubleshooting. Must also be very

 familiar with Grouping and Access List creation

-Cisco AAA. Services with TACACS, and implementing SSH support on networking

 devices

-Checkpoint / Nokia Firewall support with basic Unix skills

-Juniper / Netscreen Firewalls instillation along with general functionality

-LAN protocols Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, VLANs and Private VLANs,

 Layer 3 switches, and 802.1Q trunking

-VPN tunnels with IPSec (DES, 3DES, and AES)

-QoS knowledge and experience with traffic policing/rate-limiting, traffic shaping,

 congestion management, congestion avoidance, network capacity planning, and application performance analysis across the WAN

 

The consultant must possess:

-Good written and oral communication skills  

-Good interpersonal skills     

-Keen attention to detail 

-Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task
